Our goal is to educate
and inspire our readers to commit to healthier lifestyles and to create
a healthy future for the children of Mississippi.
Get a Life is a childhood obesity prevention initiative of the
Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi. Our
initial efforts are concentrated in eight counties of northwest
Mississippi including Coahoma, Desoto, Marshall, Panola, Quitman,
Tallahatchie, Tate and Tunica.
This website is part of our effort to reach children, their parents,
educators, and others who have influence over healthy lifestyles for
children. Here, you will find tips for healthy living, information
about healthy food choices and fun physical activities! You can
access resources, learn about other efforts to address
childhood obesity and network with others in your own
area. This website
is made possible by funding from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
