Kids need at least 3 per Day

 

 

Avocado – loaded with monounsaturated fat which helps lower cholesterol and Vitamin E to help heal cuts and scrapes.

 

Beets – antioxidants and folic acid promote healthy cells and potassium to help regulate blood pressure.

 

Broccoli – contains several cancer fighting nutrients along with Vitamin C and Calcium.

 

Butternut Squash – great source for beta carotene and potassium

 

Carrots – Fiber and beta carotene for good health

 

Cauliflower – good source of Vitamin C

 

Pumpkin – lots of beta carotene and potassium

 

Peas – a good source of folate and fiber

 

Red Pepper – packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants

 

Spinach (cooked) – folic acid, iron, potassium and magnesium

 

Squash – Vitamin C and “lutein”, a great antioxidant

 

Sweet Potato – soluble fiber, beta carotene and other antioxidants
